match on action was used to show continuity in our work and edit it in a way so that the audience can't tell that it is not the same scene. we used this in two scenes one when the charcter (A) walked into the classroom which was edited well and shows really good continuity, the other was when the character (C) left the room although the editing was not great so this match on action was not as great as the first.
we used shot reverse shot to record the argument between the two charcters to make it look more convincing and show the drama of the confrontation between the both of them
we used several; close ups to show characters reactions to let the audience know how the charcters are feeling, we also used two shot to show two charcters in the same scene so the audience can see what is going on
overall i think our piece went quite well although the continuity could have been better in some places

premilary work
today we started editing our shots it was really difficult as the chunk was so big we decided to edit it shot by shot which was much easier. some scenes were more difficult then others because in some scenes we forgot to use idents so it was hard to tell where the scene finished

filming premiliary work
shot one
decided to start scene with introducing you to the main character(carol) listening to loud music(let the music play), then after about a minute second character walks in. the shots we used were match on action and a two shot. this scene is shot in a classroom with high key lighting.
shot two
is when the second character(nazmeen) leaves the room. the shots we used were another match on action and long shot. the music is still continuos although the consistency is not good as it was restarted from the beginning, also other sound includes a bell to signal next lesson. this scene was again shot in the classroom with high key lighting
shot three
is when we are introduced to the final character(A). this is done by a shot of match on action from a long shot. this shot was filmed in a corridor with the final part in the classroom, this scene ends with the charcter sitting down in the classroom
shot four
this is the scene were we decided to incorprate shot reverse shot where the two characters begin an argument over the loud music. i think we done this scene really well. this scene ends with a match on action where the ist character(carol) storms out the room(slams door)
shot five
in the final scene it includes a close up shot of the character(A) having a conversation with someone on the phone(mobile ringtone).
